The objective of this course is to prepare a
student in basics of Integral transforms, Integral equations and calculus of
variations. These tools have engineering applications. Fourier transform and
Laplace transform help in studying differential equations and other engineering
problems. Calculus of variations and Euler equations are essential in
understanding many physical problems and optimization problems.
